The BrainLinking Story

Since beginning this work in 1996, Pat has been passionate about preparing brains for learning. She sees great intelligence in everyone, and her mission is to ACTIVATE THAT GENIUS! Her story, and the story of BrainLinking, Incorporated, is a long one, having traveled a very long and winding path to here, NOW, today!

The BrainLinking program founder and CEO, Patricia Rosenbury, received her Bachelor’s degree in education and mathematics from BYU in 1974, and her master’s degree in the reading and writing project from UC at Berkeley in 1991. Thereafter, she taught for eighteen years in elementary and high school in Utah, Texas, Japan, India, and the inner-city of Atlanta, Georgia .

As a traditional classroom teacher, Pat watched bright children struggle and yearned to find the keys to unlock the intelligence she knew they could not access. She recognized the critical and essential need for a broader range of teaching tools than she had carried from college. Thus, as a young teacher, she began her personal journey to discover the missing elements to better serve those children. When she began to discover the keys, she determined to bring the gift of that knowledge to as many others of her students as possible.

Twelve years ago Pat was introduced to and certified in the Structure of Intellect (SOI) in Atlanta while she was working with children living in low-income housing projects. The success she saw there convinced her that SOI provided part of that ‘missing’ something she had often found lacking in students in the states and overseas. When she moved to Salt Lake City in 1995, she knew that SOI held the keys to many children’s frustrations with academic learning. Pat committed herself and all her resources to creating a way to make it accessible to them. In the spring of 1996 she opened her own learning center utilizing the SOI Integrated Learning System woven with sensory integration and sustained self-directed attention work. Her program has since been endorsed by many professionals, including educators, pediatricians, and collegiate and professional athletic organizations.

Pat’s work has been blessed along this incredible journey, and she now devotes full time to her private practice and passion, BrainLinking, Incorporated. She deftly blends an impressive array of research-based and scientific assessment and teaching methods with personal experience. Her gifted work has changed hundreds of lives, ages 2 to 82, helping them prepare their brains for, and stimulating the undeveloped learning abilities they earnestly desired.

In addition to the demanding schedules of coaching, lecturing, travel and her BrainLinking work, Pat volunteers extensively in schools, in her community, and within her church family. Currently living in Salt Lake City , she enjoys live theatre performances, and loves to retreat and refresh herself in the mountains.

Pat has loved live theatre drama since college days, and her energetic and candid style engages individuals and groups, entertaining as she lectures. Audience members absorb her concepts naturally and depart with valuable tools to use immediately and simply in their classrooms or home schooling environments. She has spoken to educator groups throughout the nation and has been a keynote speaker for Suzuki International in Washington DC area, as well as for other groups by request. Pat views coaching clients and sharing this work as her greatest privilege and gift. She knows with certainty that the work of BrainLinking is her lifework. She values our clients, their parents and their teachers as our great teachers.
